Carrillo Fishing Charters

Welcome to Playa Carrillo Sport Fishing Charters!

Playa Carrillo is located about 40 miles south of Tamarindo, on the northwest Pacific coast of Costa Rica. Carrillo fishing charters fish in an area adjacent to, and often overlapping, the same waters that Tamarindo charters fish in during the January - March period. This area of the Pacific offers deep blue water fishing without long run times, as the shelf drop-off is as close as 7 miles from shore.

Carrillo sport fishing is varied, with great inshore and offshore options. Roosterfish, snapper, amberjack, grouper and other species are found inshore, and sailfish, marlin, tuna and dorado are found offshore.

Carrillo has an airstrip that is serviced by Sansa airlines. Neighboring beaches are Samara, Playa Garza and Punta Islita. In Carrillo, the Hotel Guanamar offers beachfront accommodations and a spectacular view of the beach and ocean.

Capullo Sportfishing operates our 36' Topaz out of Carrillo on a request-only basis for charters of 3 or more days. Charter cost $1600 per day.
