Flamingo Beach is located about 12 miles north of Tamarindo, on the northwest Pacific coast of Costa Rica. Flamingo fishing charters fish in the same offshore areas as trips leaving from Tamarindo. Inshore fishing trips fish around the Catalina Islands.
Flamingo sport fishing combines great inshore fishing at the Catalina Islands, just 4 miles from shore, looking for roosterfish, cubera snapper, tuna, jacks and other species, with great offshore options for billfish such as blue, black and striped marlin, sailfish, dorado and yellowfin tuna.
There are a number of hotels, condominiums and beach house rentals available in Flamingo and surrounding area. Access to Flamingo is easy via paved road from San Jose, or a short flight from San Jose to neighboring Tamarindo, on Sansa or Nature Air.
